The Arizona Brew-Ha-Ha

Normally I do not write about events in Tucson, but this one will be a lot of fun and it is all for a good cause. So, let’s make the announcement: the inaugural staging of the Arizona Brew-Ha-Ha will be on May 25, 2013, on Memorial Day weekend, out at the Casino Del Sol’s AVA Amphitheater. It’s a fundraiser to help three Tucson area nonprofits that help our visually impaired neighbors: EMVIA, the Tucson Downtown Lions Club, and the Southwest Slammers Beep Baseball team.

This is the first of many to come. A lot of people that I know are involved with this and they are doing everything they can to make it a great and enjoyable time. Local celebrities will be involved and all five of the local Cumulus group of radio stations in Tucson will be involved and a very large part of it. Those stations are 1290 The Source, K-Hit 107-5, KiiM-FM, i 97-5, and KTUC 1400.

This event will have what just about everyone loves, craft beer tasting, lots of stand-up comedy, and vendors there letting people know what all is out there for them or their loved ones who have low vision to no vision.

This event will be on a Saturday evening at the AVA Amphitheatre at the Casino del Sol on Pascua Yaqui Tribal property, a setting with much grass in the open as well as shade if that's what you like. Be prepared for a strong sun in a clear high blue sky, nearly zero chance of rain, and an afternoon temperature of ninety-two to ninety-five degrees. VIP ticket holders have an earlier entry than the 7 pm time for General Admission folks, and get to attend the show by Dave Fitzsimmons at 5:15. The VIP area is just for those 21 and over but the general area is for all ages.

People who want to have a fun and safe weekend can stay at the Casino’s beautiful hotel. There will also be Yellow Cab on the site to take you home. Don't forget if you would like to try gaming you are right there also, so if you are not planning to go away for the Memorial Day weekend but want to have a lot of fun: here you are!
